Swanenburg House in Halfweg has an interesting history. It started as a manor house. Later, it was taken over by Rijnland Water Board. This organization had the house rebuilt according to the plans of Pieter Post. In the 19th century, the house was taken over by a sugar company, that incorporated the building into the factory. Now, you can still have an impression of what the house once looked like.
